Trails are steep and rugged.
Horseshoe Bend – a natural feature of the Colorado River is a must see in the area even though it is very touristy.

Grand Staircase – Esclante Toadstools, formed when softer rock erodes away leaving a pedestal with a boulder on top

Hiked out at 2 in the morning to see the toadstool with the Milky Way in the background
Wire Pass Trail, Coyote Buttes, a section of the Vermillion Cliffs Wilderness, heading out to go arch hunting
We found the great white whale, Moby Dick!

Buckskin Gulch in Paria Canyon, just south of Grand Staircase Escalante
Soon left the trail to find unusual formations of Endmaier’s Secret, such as brain rock and rope rock
