Copper Falls State Park (Wisconsin, August 2022)

1.7 mile Doughboy’s Nature Trail is one of the prettiest 1.7 miles I’ve seen!

Copper Falls – though the area was mined for copper, falls so named because of the color of the water which comes from the tannic acid of the pine needles

One row of the Cascades

The Cascades, second of four features on this short trail

Looking down the Bad River, which forms this canyon and its features

Devil’s Gate was formed when the Bad River worked its way right through the wall of rock.

Brownstone Falls, tallest of the park’s waterfalls
